Ziki Likes to Go Big or Go Home

Sometimes it's fun to poke the bear. That's exactly what happened with Joey when he offered Rajon Rondo to Ziki in exchange for Anthony Davis. We're not exactly sure why Joey would want to trade Rondo for Davis when Joey need Rondo's assists and steals with Chris Paul out. Davis also helps in rebounding and blocks, which are two categories Joey shouldn't be focusing on. Either way, Rondo isn't playing full minutes right now and Davis is clearly the better player. Ziki must've been offended by the offer because he came back even stronger.

Ziki gets: Lebron James
Joey gets: Anthony Davis

Trade offer rating: 7 stars

On the surface you're thinking this should be a 10 star rating. Lebron James is the #1 player in real life basketball and fantasy basketball. You would consider trading Lebron for Kevin Durant or Stephen Curry if you had needs in other categories, but chances are you're not trading Lebron in a 1-for-1 deal unless you really need those categories. Anthony Davis is a really good player, but he's clearly at least one level down from Lebron if not two. His frail nature also gives cause for concern.

Still the deal only gets 7 stars because Joey instigated the whole thing with his poor trade offer. The rating for this trade indicates it's a bad trade, but it also indicates that you do not want to anger Ziki. He is not amused by your pathetic trade offers as an attempt to mock him. He will come down on you with his wrath by showing you no one, and I mean NO ONE, can put together lobsided trade offers like the Great Ziki. Shame on you Joey for even stepping into that ring.

Do You Want DeAndre? Because Ziki doesn't want DeAndre.

We all know DeAndre Jordan has never lived up to the hype. He's been in the league now for six years and yet only this season has finally reached 10 points a game. He has been beastly on the boards averaging 12.7 a game, but his FG% is down and he still can't shoot foul shots worth a damn. Regardless, that clearly warrants him being worth point guards who went for $20 or more at the draft, right?

Ziki gets: Jrue Holiday
Curtis gets: DeAndre Jordan

Trade offer rating: 4 stars

It's not the worst deal we've seen, but Holiday is still putting up quality numbers despite not playing his best. Quality numbers that keeps him well above the value of a guy who may not sustain his rebounding levels. Also Curtis wants nothing to do with a big man because his team is built around small ball, so the trade gains an extra star for Ziki's stupidity in roster assessment. Ziki, however, wasn't done there...

Ziki gets: Jeff Teague
Grimaldi gets: DeAndre Jordan

Trade offer rating: 6 stars

This one's definitely better than the first...for Ziki. Teague is having a great season putting up career high numbers in points and assists. His foul or three point shooting isn't as good as last year, but that should turn around.

Ziki Doesn't Take No For An Answer

Upon hearing that Pope thought his Ibaka for Parsons offer was trash, Ziki decided to "augment" his offer:

Ziki gets: Serge Ibaka & Tyreke Evans
Pope gets: Chandler Parsons & Darren Collison

Trade offer rating: 7 stars

Pope's immediate reaction to the deal was: "Sam and I found this amusing, as I don’t think either one of us would have traded Tyreke for Collison straight up." We couldn't have said it better ourselves...

Ziki Loves Pushing Chandler Parsons

Chandler Parsons is a valuable fantasy asset because he provides a little of everything. Although that's more useful in rotisserie style scoring, Parsons can still impact head-to-head leagues. Parsons, however, still isn't considered anywhere near a top 40 player. Therefore Pope was not happy when he received this trade offer:

Ziki gets: Serge Ibaka
Pope gets: Chandler Parsons

Trade offer rating: 6 Stars

Explanation: It's not the worst offer Ziki's ever made, but it's pretty bad. Ibaka has tremendous value in head-to-head leagues because he's rather dominant in FG% and blocks, while rather strong in rebounds as well. His points have also sky rocketed this year with the departure of James Harden. Naturally this makes him the kind of player Ziki is looking for -- a top 15-20 fantasy player he can rip off someone else. It would've made sense to check with Pope first to see what Pope actually wanted in his fantasy categories, given that it's all the stats Ibaka provides. But that would be expecting way too much from the always ambitious ZIki.

Ziki Brings It From Abu Dhabi

Just cause Ted Ziki is in Abu Dhabi doesn't mean he can't make you a terrible trade offer. Curtis was proposed this from Ted:

Ziki gets: Chris Paul
Curtis gets: Darren Collison and Chandler Parsons

Trade offer rating: 8 Stars

Explanation: Collison and Parson are decent players, Chris Paul is the third best player in fantasy basketball. Ziki could've at least offered a better PG in this situation considering he has five of them! In a re-draft, neither Parsons nor Collison would be a top 40 player.

Ziki Wants a Big Man

On the morning of Wednesday, March 7th, Curtis woke up to the following trade offer from Ted Ziki:

Ziki gets: Al Jefferson
Curtis gets: Baron Davis and Jordan Farmar

Trade offer rating: 10 Stars

Explanation: This is possibly the worst offer we've ever seen out of Ziki. Not only is it a 2 for 1 deal, but Ziki is trying to trade two bench players (both in fantasy and reality) for a player ranked 18th overall and sixth overall at center. This is a disgraceful offer. It was made worse when Ziki cut Farmar two hours after the trade was declined.

Ziki Wants You To Have Zaza

Ted Ziki has been all over the place trying to trade Zaza Pachulia in the last couple days. He was talking him and Jordan Farmar up tonight with me in order to increase their buzz. He claimed Zaza was putting up strong points and FT% numbers, when in fact Zaza is averaging under 8 points a game in the last 15 days and is shooting at around 70% from the line in the last 30 days. At the same time, he fired an offer over to Pope.

Ziki gets: David Lee
Pope gets: Zaza Pachulia and Jordan Farmar

Trade offer rating: 8 Stars

Explanation: David Lee may not be having his best fantasy season, but he's still the 16th rated PF and 48th ranked player over all. Pachulia and Farmar are waiver claims. This is just another terrible 2 for 1 offer from Ziki.
